Brownhill House – New House

LFA successfully obtained Planning and Building Regulation Approval for a replacement three storey detached house in the beautiful rolling West Sussex countryside. The brief was established in close collaboration with the applicants to provide them with an enlarged and improved internal layout with better distinction between the common areas and enclosed, private rooms. The orientation of the building was also turned through 90 degrees to better take advantage of views towards the South Downs. The Clients were keen to ensure that the materials and workmanship was of a high standard. The possibility of extending and adapting the existing house was discussed however, in this instance the VAT rating for a new build when combined with the advantages of modern highly insulated construction was considered sufficient incentive to construct a replacement dwelling.
